DOWN GOES CLEVELAND
The Brahns is gonna brahn.
The Cleveland Browns got absolutely embarrassed in their Wild Card matchup in Houston, against the Texans. QB Joe Flacco threw two pick-sixes in back-to-back throws, and the Browns’ defense struggled mightily, allowing quite a few big plays by this potent Texans offense. Joe Flacco hasn’t exactly been taking care of the football during his fairly impressive stint with the Cleveland Browns, and those turnover woes finally caught up with them as they got decimated 45-17 in front of a national audience.
The Texans’ rookie QB CJ Stroud, on the other hand, threw for 274 yards and three touchdowns, with no interceptions, in what could be viewed as a near-perfect game for him. He became the youngest rookie QB in NFL history to win a playoff game at 22 years of age.
So, the Texans will advance to the divisional round of the playoffs, and the Browns will have an awkward flight back to Cleveland. I’d be remiss if I didn’t say, the Cleveland Browns have been riddled with injuries, to a practically historic degree. They probably had no business making the playoffs at all, and the fact that they did should be viewed as a testament to their head coach, Kevin Stefanski. They should hang on to him tightly, and look ahead to next season. However, the Browns’ fans have been an absolute nightmare this year, so I couldn’t help but bask in the warmth of a division rival’s downfall.
Talk to ya next year Browns fans! We got a game in Buffalo to think about.
Here. We. Go.
