Steelers’ Wild Card Injury Report (Wednesday)

The Steelers and Bills both began preparing for Wild Card Weekend with practices on Wednesday.

The Steelers practiced at Acrisure Stadium today, due to poor field conditions at their practice facility, according to Mark Kaboly of The Athletic. Surely, practicing on their home field creates a more game-like atmosphere, so it’ll be interesting to see if that trend continues throughout the week.

The most notable development in Wednesday’s injury report is the return of my favorite Steeler, Minkah Fitzpatrick to being a full participant in practice. Coach Tomlin said during his press conference on Tuesday, that he was confident in Minkah’s availability throughout this week, and a full practice for Minkah to kick off Wild Card Weekend certainly echoes those sentiments. In addition to the presumptive return of Minkah Fitzpatrick, safety Damontae Kazee was also activated to the 53-man roster today, after fulfilling his suspension through the remainder of the regular season for his hit on Colts’ WR Michael Pittman Jr. back in week 15.

Linebacker Elandon Roberts was a limited participant in practice, but there’s little to no doubt about his ability to play come Sunday. Running back Najee Harris and guard Isaac Seumalo both did not participate in practice on Wednesday, as has been the case several times throughout the regular season, due to ‘bumps and bruises associated with play’ (I’m channeling my inner Mike Tomlin). No need to fear; both should be available to us on Sunday.

I’ll leave the Buffalo Bills injury report from Wednesday here as well, but who really gives a damn what they have going on? I hope they have everyone at their disposal for the Wild Card game on Sunday. I won’t be making any excuses for not having TJ Watt, and I don’t want them to have any excuses if they underperform.

Playoffs. In the kitchen. Here. We. Go.
